About Band

LEGENDARY HEROES - The Original Rhythm and Soul Band In October 2012, we released our first album length CD: ’We are and always will be… Legendary Heroes’ Which you can hear here: http://legendaryheroes.bandcamp.com A leading review magazine said this about our album: LEGENDARY HEROES - We Are and Always Will Be ... "What a belter of a debut album! ... They now operate as a nine-piece - ... who are as tight as Chris Hoy’s cycle shorts ... They knock out soul music which is built on a strong rhythm section and plenty of hooks, and they all fit together like clockwork. Energetic, upbeat and steeped in passion, this is joyous stuff." We took the album on tour, finishing off at the famous 100 Club in London where we got this review: Legendary Heroes - 100 Club, London Watch Legendary Heroes and you know that here is a band to whom music is not a career, but a passion. That, together with the fact that they do it so damn good, makes me, an average 26 year-old, astonished by their power and by their perseverance to follow that passion and to do it so wonderfully. I saw them play twice: the first gig took place in a lovely pub in London called The Old Nun’s Head. They started to play and I remember seeing everybody dance: people of all ages, different nationalities and cultures: English, Irish, South African, Australian, Thai ... Romanian, but that only brought everybody together. They were incredible! But I was just warming up for the second night. London. Downtown. Oxford Street. The famous 100 Club and the Global Battle of the Bands, UK Final. It was the night I’d been waiting for: one of the reasons I travelled from Bucharest. The night everybody was waiting for. Legendary Heroes were amazing! Bloody hell, they made everybody stand up and dance! Even those disoriented young dreamers who thought of themselves as musicians (the other bands, I mean) thought that these guys can play! The crowd who’d been driven back by the screaming thrash metal of the previous band, all moved to the front of the stage and cheered and danced. And maybe because of that, the Heroes played better than ever. All dressed up with style, looking outrageously cool, they set the place on fire. All I’m trying to say is that their music sets me free. It stands me up, puts a smile on my face and makes me realize that the next moment can be so much better than this one - LOLO Our music is a unique blend of Northern Soul and funky, poppy, rhythms - we like to call our music Rhythm and Soul. The Guardian newspaper described us as: ‘Brilliant brass-driven soul, funk and pop’ We are a 9 piece band with 4 in the Brass section, and 4 of us 9 are female. On 1st May this year we released a 4 track EP which is totally free to download!
